The Moth Retreat, an idyllic two-bedroom residence for writers & artists here at The Moth headquarters in rural Ireland

Along the way, they set up The Moth Art Prize, the Moth Studios in Cavan Town – where they have run workshops and exhibitions, and now have a weekly drop-in night as well as an open studio – and the award-winning Moth Productions, which toured nationally with several new plays. They ceased publication of The Moth and The Caterpillar in 2023 in order to pursue other creative projects. Rebecca directed Will in Neil Titley’s Work is the Curse of the Drinking Classes, a one-man show about Oscar Wilde which is currently on tour.

They also run The Moth Retreat, next to their home and office in rural Ireland, which reopens in September 2025 after refurbishment. It’s fully self-contained accommodation for up to two writers sharing.

Will continues to paint, and Rebecca is working on a new novel and a collection of poems.
